Who we are

Lara K Logistics is a cargo and parcel forwarding company operating between Dubai (UAE) and Lebanon. This policy covers the Lara K Logistics customer mobile application and the customer areas of our website.

What data we hold

• Account data — your name, client code, phone number, and delivery address. Accounts are created by our staff when you become a customer; the app has no self-registration.
• Shipment data — tracking numbers, parcel weights, shipment status, and the order notes you add in the app.
• Financial data — invoices, payments, and your account balance with us. The app does not collect or store card numbers or online payment credentials.
• Device data — if you allow notifications, a push token issued by Google Firebase so we can notify you about your shipments. No advertising identifiers are collected.
• Marketplace listings you create — if you post an item for sale in the in-app marketplace, we store the title, description, price, the photo you choose, and the WhatsApp number you give buyers. This content is visible to everyone using the app, including people browsing without an account, so do not include anything you want kept private.
• Photos — only the images you deliberately pick for a marketplace listing are uploaded. The app never scans or uploads your photo library, and it strips the metadata (such as location) from the picture before storing it.
• Saved items and reports — the products you mark as favourites, and any listing you report to us for review.

Content posted by users

The marketplace lets customers offer their own items. Lara K Logistics is not a party to those sales; buyers and sellers deal with each other directly over WhatsApp, and we do not process payment for them. Every listing carries a Report option, a listing reported by several people is hidden automatically pending review, and our staff can hide or delete any listing at any time. You can delete your own listings from the app whenever you like, which also removes the uploaded photo.

How we use it

Only to operate the shipping service you asked us for: tracking your parcels, telling you when shipments move, keeping your account statement, and answering support requests. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.

Third-party services

Push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Your push token is shared with Google only to deliver those notifications. No analytics or advertising SDKs are used.

Data retention and deletion

Shipment and financial records are kept as long as your customer account is active and as required for bookkeeping. Marketplace listings are kept until you delete them or we remove them. To correct your data, deactivate your login, or request deletion of your account and its data, contact us on the number below and we will process the request.

Children

The app is intended for our customers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Security

The app talks to our servers over HTTPS and signs you in with a token stored only on your device. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and are never readable by our staff.
